Where I live we need mittens in the winter. I still have mittens that my mother has knitted many, many years ago and they are my favourites. I love them more than the thermo gloves I’ve bought in the shop.

I’ve worn these mittens a lot. As you can see I’ve mended them many times. I can’t give them up… I like the colour and they go well with most of my winter jackets and coats.

These mittens have a  beautiful pattern.

And these mittens are thick and warm. They are nitted in a way that makes the yarn form many layers on the inside, so they are for temperatures below  -20 degrees Celsius.
